A running instrument portfolio, one software platform
Our reference project: the collaboration with a leading manufacturer of analytical measurement technology — in the middle of the regulated day-to-day of a growing instrument portfolio.
Starting point
Several instrument lines, each with its own software history; customers in regulated markets demanding traceability and security evidence; and a portfolio growing faster than classic development processes could keep up with.
Our contribution
- Operating-software platform for several instrument lines — with a protocol designer, device simulation for development and testing without hardware bottlenecks, and robustness mechanisms for lab operation.
- License and update infrastructure: a download portal with license-based authentication, update strategies reaching into air-gapped environments.
- Requirements engineering at URS/NFR level across the entire product program — including a quality uplift of existing requirements.
- IEC 62443 implementation in the running program: from gap assessment to concrete measures in the development process.
- Integration into the lab ecosystem: connection to the LES/LIMS environment and multilingual terminology across product lines.
How the collaboration runs
The entire collaboration is evidence-led inside our own tool landscape: requirements, decisions, and test runs are linked, and every change stays attributable to its trigger. Exactly this working model is also available as a service of its own.
